The 2008 season is just around the corner and it promises to be the best yet for NRW cricket.

The undoubted highlight will see the NRWCU and the Deutscher Cricket Bund hosting the ICC European Under 17 Championships in Mönchengladbach, Bonn and Bochum in August. Ten nations from all across Europe will be sending their best young cricketers to Germany to try and win the trophy.

In league cricket, Bonn CC will be trying to defend their title as NRW Cricket Champions, and will be contesting the league with an additional ten teams.

This season will also see Twenty-20 cricket arrive in NRW with the inaugural NRWCU Twenty-20 Championships.

On 20th April the NRWCU team will play against Bavaria in the DCB Ligapokal. The final of this tournamnet will take place at the Berlin Olympic Stadium in May and will be a major platform for NRW cricketers to recommend themselves for the German national team which will be contesting the ICC World League this summer.
